archi5 is an architecture and landscape architecture practice founded in 2003, drawing on its founders\u2019 collective experience in the sector and their shared vision of architecture. The practice has 35 staff based in Montreuil, near Paris. It develops its expertise by forging strategic links with leading technical partners and specialist consultants.
\nA balanced approach to creativity is evident in our projects as well as in the numerous architectural and urban planning competitions in which the firm participates.<\/p>\n

Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every project begins with a careful examination: of the site, its history, its uses, and the people who will live there. This analysis provides the substance for the architecture and landscape, and enables us to create buildings that have a clear purpose for being where they are \u2013 and that demonstrate this purpose.
\nWe do not advocate a particular style but rather a way of life: architecture as a precise response to a unique situation. Each project speaks a different language, shaped by its unique context. What unites them is a shared focus on the users, the materials and the long-term.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every project draws on expertise beyond architecture. archi5 has structured its operations around this reality: the practice includes a team of landscape architects who work continuously alongside the architects, from design through to handover. Space is conceived differently, right from the outset of the project.
\nWe work with a network of engineering consultancies and technical partners with whom we share a rich and complex history of collaboration. This culture of cooperation is what enables us to tackle a wide variety of project types without ever treating one project as identical to another.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Our systems-based approach has led us, right from our earliest projects, to consider the environmental impact of our projects and to develop a sustainable approach to construction.
\nThat is why archi5 designs passive buildings that go beyond current standards. To this end, we have developed simple and reliable solutions, based on fundamental elements such as orientation, ventilation and the quality of the building envelope.<\/p>\n
